The passive ability is always active and cannot be turned off or deactivated by the player. It provides an ongoing buff or bonus for as long as you are playing that hero (or until your death). For example, Anti-mage’s Mana Break provides him with bonus damage every time he attacks an enemy hero who has mana left over from their last spell cast (the amount varies based on how much mana remains). The effect stacks up to five times per attack meaning if AM attacks someone with full mana pool from his Blink Dagger then all 5 stacks will apply at once!

Single active abilities are similar to passives except they require activation before they can provide any benefit – usually via pressing TAB while hovering over your character portrait on screen while playing Dota 2 online multiplayer matches against other human players around the world who may not necessarily want these benefits applied against them! For example Shadow Demon’s Disruption illusion lasts longer than normal but deals less damage per second than normal illusions do; this means if combined properly with items like Desolator then it becomes possible for SD players everywhere!
