Top 5 Action-adventure games

As a gamer and lover of action-adventure games, I’m always looking for the next best thing in this genre. Here are my five favorite action-adventure games so far:

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

The fourth entry in the Assassin’s Creed series, Black Flag was set in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy. It featured Edward Kenway as its main character and focused on naval exploration as well as ship battles.

The game also introduced an “open world” aspect that allowed players to explore land masses such as Jamaica and Cuba on foot or by boat.

Batman: Arkham Origins

You’ve been Batman for two games now, but you haven’t yet had a chance to step into the shoes of his younger self. Arkham Origins is your chance to do just that–and it’s also one hell of an action-adventure game!

The Dark Knight is at it again in Arkham Origins, this time taking on villains like Deathstroke and Black Mask while trying not to get killed by them. The game features an expanded Gotham City that makes use of all four seasons’ worth of weather conditions (if you want), as well as new moves like glide kicking from rooftop to rooftop and sliding under doors when enemies open them up for surprise attacks!

The Last of Us

The Last of Us is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released worldwide in 2013 for the PlayStation 3, with a remastered version being released for the PlayStation 4 in 2014 (and later on Xbox One).

The story follows protagonist Joel as he searches for a cure to an infection that has ravaged humanity and left zombies roaming the world. He encounters Ellie along his journey, who becomes his companion as they travel across America in search of hope for humanity’s future.

Gameplay consists mainly of exploration and combat: players use melee attacks, guns and explosives to defeat enemies; items can be collected from corpses or found around environments which can then be used in crafting systems that allow players to create useful medical items such as bandages or antidotes which help them survive longer while exploring dangerous locations such as abandoned houses full of infected humans looking for prey!

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a first-person shooter video game developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was released on May 20, 2014 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360. A version for Xbox One was released in August 2014 as part of backwards compatibility for that console.

The game takes place in an alternate history 1960 where the Nazis won World War II and now rule over much of Europe with an iron fist from their headquarters in France. You play as William “BJ” Blazkowicz who sets out on a mission to kill General Deathshead who created the super soldiers known as Übersoldaten that are helping Hitler rule over Europe with an iron fist.

BioShock Infinite

BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter video game developed by Irrational Games and published by 2K Games. The game was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and OS X in March 2013.

BioShock Infinite features combat similar to BioShock’s: the player uses a combination of weapons, powers and gear to defeat enemies; however it introduces several changes including an absence of regenerating health (with health kits being used instead), no visible ammunition count on weapons or foes, the ability to repair damaged machinery rather than purchase new items at vending machines as well as “Vigors” replacing Plasmids from previous games in the series.[1][2] Vigors grant unique abilities such as powerful ranged attacks or other offensive/defensive capabilities such as summoning zombies that attack enemies.[3][4] Powers can be selected at will but cost salts (an energy source) if they are used too frequently; however they can also be upgraded by spending money earned from killing foes or completing missions successfully.[5]

These are some of the best action-adventure games.

The following is a list of some of the best action-adventure games. It’s subjective, but it’s also a good starting point for people who want to get into this genre.

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Nintendo Switch)
  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (PS4/XBox One/PC)
  • Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4)

Conclusion

These are some of the best action-adventure games.
